The setup

One electrician, one van, $1k to $3k a month in spend when they came to me in September 2023.

The Google Ads setup was standard trade work, tight segmented search, good ad copy. Nothing exotic. The real problem was everything after the click.

The website was thin, the landing pages did not convert, and the tracking was a mess of duplicate and removed conversion actions that made the real numbers impossible to trust.

The execution

Went all in on reviews and tracking

Pushed hard on Google reviews on the back of genuinely great customer service, the account now sits on 600+ five star reviews. Rebuilt the conversion tracking from a mess of duplicate and removed actions into a clean primary structure: lead form submits, calls from ads, and web chat submits, each firing once and counted properly. Frank now watches the account daily and flags campaign level CPA swings before they cost money.

Built tight segmented search

Structured the account around clean, tightly themed search campaigns by service and suburb. Local Electrician, Home Electrical Services, Emergency, and suburb specific clusters. Nothing wasted, every campaign mapped to a real service the business sells. The top campaign now runs at a 17.73% conversion rate.

Rebuilt the website and landing pages

The bulk of the work was off the ad platform. Rebuilt the landing pages with genuine content, real photos of the team, and clear conversion paths. Went all in on CRO. Once the site actually converted, the well built ad account started producing naturally.
